Bornholm: Denmark’s trendiest Island

admin2020-03-02T08:31:09+00:00

Bornholm is a Danish island located in the Baltic Sea.

It is easy to access with a 30-minute flight or 2 ½ hour drive/ferry from Copenhagen. Bornholm was in 2019 rated as nº 2 by Condé Nest readers in the category Top Islands in Europe. What makes this island special and very suitable for incentive groups is that in 2-3 days you can explore a great variety of activities, untouched nature and historic sights.

The pretty small towns such as Allinge and Gudhjem and the Hammershus ruins, North Europe’s largest castle ruin, are all worth visiting as they all have their own charms. The four-round churches are unique in the World. Walking in the island’s untouched nature with beautiful rift valleys and raw, rocky cliffs is both relaxing and refreshing. Exciting attractions and sights within a short distance illustrate the island’s history.

Activities for incentive groups include art & craft workshop, food tasting with local micro-producers and abseiling. Because of the high quality of the island’s arts and crafts, Bornholm has been awarded the prestigious title “World Craft Region”. There is a long tradition within ceramics and glasswork and we will organize craft workshops.

Discover the island by going on a boat tour and let the captain show you the stretches of the Coastline of the North of Bornholm. During this tour, local organic juices are being served while enjoying the stunning view. Try to catch your own Bornholm Herring and get it smoked afterwards.

Besides this, Bornholm has more activities to offer. With over 230 km of biking paths, you could go on a bike tour and discover the beautiful landscape or you can do a hiking trip. If you are looking for something more challenging, you can try abseiling the rocky scenery with an amazing view over the Baltic sea. The island offers many variations to climb or abseil, which makes it exciting and varied all year round!
